Can I take NCLEX-RN in Africa?

Yes. Pearson VUE delivers NCLEX-RN at test centres in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, and several other countries. You don't have to travel to the US.

The answer

Pearson VUE has expanded NCLEX delivery internationally. Confirmed African test centres include Lagos, Abuja, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi, Cairo, and a few others. The fee is the same as a US sitting (typically USD 200 plus a small international scheduling fee).

Eligibility, not location, is the gate. Your US state board still needs to approve your application and issue an Authorization to Test (ATT) before Pearson VUE will let you book — that's the slow step, not finding a centre.

Some candidates fly to a US centre when they want a date that's not available locally. Both produce the same exam, the same scoring, and the same licence outcome.

Always book through the official Pearson VUE NCLEX portal. Third-party "we'll book your seat" agents have no faster access to slots than you do.

If that was confusing, here it is in plain English

Yes — you can sit NCLEX in many African cities. The wait is for the state board's approval, not the seat itself.

Your next step

Open the NCLEX guide for the state-board → ATT → Pearson VUE sequence.
