The Nursing and Midwifery Council does not currently set an upper or lower age limit on registration. What matters is the same set of standards for every applicant: an accredited nursing qualification, current registration in good standing, English-language evidence, the test of competence, and a sponsoring UK employer.
Some employers express their own preferences in recruitment, but those are employer decisions, not NMC rules. If a recruiter tells you you're "too old for the NMC", they are wrong; if a specific employer has a younger preference, that's a separate conversation.
